Mott MacDonald is searching for a Transit-oriented Communities (TOC) advisor to support the delivery of Scarborough Subway Extension as well as support the growth of this important business line across Canada. You will oversee the interfaces between infrastructure projects led by multiple parties, the integration of various design disciplines, and work with existing and prospective clients to develop further business opportunities for Mott MacDonald in Canada. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Work with client, Project Management Team and Discipline Leads to deliver Transit-oriented community scope Provide advice and expertise on managing interface and other risks Provide inputs to overall project budgets and schedules Proactively work with clients, 3rd parties, partners and subconsultants to identify opportunities and mitigate challenges to contribute to successful transit-oriented communities Liaise with Mott MacDonald colleagues across North America and the globe to ensure best practices are brought to our Canadian clients including but not limited to Design, advisory, business casing and benefits management, digital delivery and program management Collaborate with Portfolio Leads and Account Leads to identify business growth opportunities in the Canadian market Candidate Specification The ideal candidate will have the following: 10+ years of experience in Transit Oriented Community (TOC) Experience with architectural and engineering design, land use planning, development, construction processes, and real estate Experience with transportation and/or infrastructure projects Master’s degree preferred An appreciation for the principles, methods and practices of public administration including purchasing, contracting, budgeting and maintaining public records Basic knowledge of planning and real estate development funding resources, including those for affordable housing and public improvements Must be able to read and interpret maps, engineering drawings, and sketches Experience analyzing technical data and legal requirements Job Profile Opening opportunities with connected thinking.
