Are you a payroll administrator in a small organization looking for a move into a larger organization Do you have 2 years of experience using Ceridian Dayforce Our client in the heart of Downtown Toronto is looking for a payroll administrator to join their team. You will work closely with the Payroll Analyst in preparing weekly payroll reports and assisting in the preparation and processing of payroll cycles for current work force. The Payroll Administrator will also assist with the day to day practices related to the payroll including but not limited to the remittance and reconciliation of payroll deductions and statutory remittances. RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and prepare part-time and full-time overtime Dayforce timesheets and incoming paperwork for payroll processing. Liaise with Human Resources to investigate discrepancies and correct information. Assist with processing of all 3 Dayforce pay groups. Preparation and reconciliation of statutory, voluntary, mandatory payroll deductions for all hourly payroll, benefits and salaries. Preparation of remittance forms for CAAT Pension Plan and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Assist Payroll Analyst with maintenance of fiscal payroll reporting for each individual payroll and balance to GL monthly. Using Sage ERP system, run necessary GL reports and create and enter journal entries when necessary. Receive and answer queries from other departments as well as assist employees with questions relating to payroll. Respond to requests for payroll information from regulatory and/or government agencies such as Service Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, Statistics Canada. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2 year College Diploma preferably in Business Administration-Finance or an acceptable equivalent in education and experience. Two to three years (2-3) of related experience in Payroll (with knowledge of ESA, CPP, EI, Income Tax, etc) preferably in a unionized environment. Completion of or working towards Canadian Payroll Association PCP. Ability to prepare ad hoc reports using Excel. Intermediate knowledge required. Demonstrated experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently.
