Aero Trading is hiring! Join our dedicated and friendly team as an Administrative Specialist in the dynamic west coast fishing industry! Please note: We are only receiving applications at this time from candidates who reside in the Prince Rupert or Port Edward area. What to Expect As an Administrative Specialist with Aero Trading Co. Ltd at our Port Edward office location, your advanced administrative and operational skill set will play an important role in supporting the purchasing, processing and delivery of our wide range of commercial fishing products to and from various locations across the globe. You’ll learn the ins and outs of the west coast fishing industry alongside a motivated and supportive team. What You Will Do: Learn and assist with all aspects of our commercial fishing settlements and licence transactions. Liaise professionally with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) for and with licence transfer and reallocation documents. These highly detailed transactions must also be filed digitally and manually for accurate tracking and allocation of all fish species corresponding to our fishing vessels, licences and quota. Assist with the flow and administration of important paperwork between the production plant and office. Learn and assist with inventory management. Who You Are: You have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles such as but not limited to A/P and A/R. You exercise good judgement and act with integrity and honesty, with high attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills. Proficient at multitasking, prioritizing and allocating time in accordance to the task and its impact on our business. Computer savvy and adept MS Office skills. Able to learn new, proprietary computer software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accountability for meeting time-sensitive deadlines and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, team player with excellent customer service skills.
