Job Description Exploring Scholar is currently looking for a part-time mathematics classroom teacher to join our high-performing team. You will have the opportunity to deliver elementary and/or high school mathematics curriculum topics through regularly scheduled semestered courses. This is not a tutoring position but rather a classroom teaching position as new topics are introduced within every lesson according to curriculum requirements. Classes will be in-person and teachers will teach at our location in North York, ON. Additional opportunities to move up in roles and to manage unique educational projects. Responsibilities Prepare lesson materials within guidelines. Deliver high quality lessons to small classes of students. Help promote students' interests in the subject. Mark homework and assessments. Qualifications · Teaching experiences in elementary and/or secondary mathematics. · Proficient in online teaching tools. · Strong academic proficiency and confidence in teaching mathematics. · Personal or teaching experiences in mathematics contests is a strong asset. · Have reliable availability of a minimum 2hr/wk during the fall/spring semesters (see hours below). - Able to commute to our North York location for classes. Hours Minimum 2 hours / week of teaching time during evenings and weekends, for the fall-spring semester, September 2022 – June 2023. Ideal for working along other commitments. More hours available after proven quality of work. More hours available during summer months. Location: Our bright, modern, and technology-driven facility is situated in 201 Consumers Rd, North York, ON. Premium Zoom account and video conferencing hardware will be provided for hybrid courses. Compensation: Please note that compensation is calculated by teaching hours. Job Type: Part-time Salary: $40.00-$50.00 per hour Application question(s): Where are you currently located?
