Job Description De Beers Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic individual to join the Mobile Maintenance team at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for servicing mine equipment in the field to reduce machine downtime while continuously aligning daily functions with the values of De Beers. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm. Key Responsibilities: Lubing and fueling equipment in the field; Meeting deadlines and appointments in the pit to lubricate and service Mobile Equipment; Identifying mechanical problems and reporting them to the Truck Shop; Maintaining the lubrication truck condition and cleanliness; Performing all work assigned in a safe, well-managed manner; Communicating with crews to coordinate work and provide updates; Complying with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental (Reporting of Spills), confidentiality and code of conduct: Partaking in safety audits and safety/ toolbox meetings, maintaining meaningful contributions; Ensuring timely communication with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding any relevant issues; and Completing administrative functions by recording all task-related information. This is a site based position working a 14 days in / 14 days out rotation. Referral incentives are applicable to De Beers Group internal employees only. Relocation This opportunity is open to relocation support to anyone who wishes to relocate to the Northwest Territories. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent life skills; Heavy Equipment certificate or equivalent on the job training and experience; Minimum one (1) year experience in operating Lube delivery type mobile units; Must be able to pass driver competency course and exam; Must be able to meet “Authorized User” requirements for High Risk Activities such as Fall Protection and Confined Space and Lock Out Tag Out on all Mobile equipment; Knowledge of basic maintenance on a variety of mine equipment; Knowledge of oils and basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment; Ability to safely work day and night shifts on a rotational basis; Ability to manage time effectively and stay on schedule, with minimal supervision; Ability to proficiently keep records for Fuel and Lube Dispensing quantities; Ability to communicate with all departments on the mine site, as well as the Truck Shop; Experience in mining industry, preferably open pit mining environment; Experience working at a remote mining site and in a cross-cultural work environment; and Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental Standards.
