Here, we care about each other and strive to create a fun, open and engaging environment that leverages our individual strengths and encourages vibrant discussion.What You’ll Do Design of new civil infrastructure with a focus on wastewater/water facilities and upgrades/retrofits to existing facilities Report and technical memorandum writing and preparing cost estimates Preparation of design drawings and tender documents Construction services including field reviews and contract administration Hydraulic modelling and analysis of wastewater and water systems Asset inventories and condition, and capacity assessment Planning studies for sewage collection and water distribution systems What You’ll Bring A positive and motivated personality! Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology other related engineering program Registered Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or eligibility for professional licensing with EGBC or a desire to work towards the Engineering Licensee designation (Eng.L.) Co-op, summer and/or 1-2 years of previous work experience in engineering or related fields such as construction, survey, or design is an asset Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water modelling software (WaterCAD and InfoWater) Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.
