Position Summary: Mistras Services Inc. is seeking Journeymen RA Insulators to support a project at the Irving Oil Refinery in Saint John, NB. Tentative start date is May 23rd. Key Accountabilities Include: Responsible for insulating in a plant environment using IRATA certified rope access abilities Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, and by alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns Perform all duties as assigned and adheres to MISTRAS’ Core Values Technicians will be required to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells Other related duties as required Physical Job Demand: Ability to lift and carry 55 pounds Qualifications, Experience and Skills: Journeyman Insulator Certificated Experience with insulation procedures in a plant environment is an asset IRATA Rope Access certification Confined Space is mandatory Various Client Safety Orientations are mandatory and will be accessible online to complete Ability to work with computers / computerized equipment Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English Travel requirement to work on site Ability to follow instructions Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively Candidates will need to submit a valid driver’s license, 3 year driving abstract and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test before going to site MISTRAS strives to provide a positive work environment that values excellence in safety and quality, free from discrimination and harassment.
