Heartbeat Transport Ltd has an immediate opening for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic on a full-time weekly schedule with occasional weekends. The expectation of this skilled position is to have a diverse and competent expertise in the mechanical repair and maintenance of commercial highway trucks and trailers. Responsibilities: Work assignments will be received in the form of oral or written work orders; however, the mechanic is expected to determine the nature and extent of necessary repairs. Diagnosis, inspection, repair, and service of Highway tractors and trailers Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment Work safely and ensure work space is clean and organized Provide excellent workmanship and prompt attention to mechanical issues in a timely manner Key Skills Certified Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic 2 Years minimum of related work experience Valid Class 5 licence with a clean abstract Class 1 licence an asset CVIP Certification an asset Organized, clean, safe and professional About Us: Heartbeat Transport Ltd. is a long haul/regional full-service fleet transportation company located near Airdrie, Alberta in a newly built 4 Bay shop and office building.
