Phippen House is a home that sees each child and youth as a valued member of society who is able to enrich the community. We are looking for staff who will support the emotional, physical, mental and social development of each child and youth in order for them to reach their full potential and encourage their independence and achievement. We are looking for someone to help get our youth ready in the mornings. The shifts are Monday to Friday 6:00am to 8:00am. Requirements: A Community College diploma in the Developmental Service worker, Social Service, Child and Youth Worker or related field is require OR are currently enrolled in school for one of these programs. Venerable Sector Police Check Current immunization record First Aid and CPR certification. Salary and Benefits Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Starting Salary: $17.00 /hour + Government of Ontario has added $3.00 per hour for front line support workers. - Group Disability/Medical/Dental benefits after '1 year Other Benefits: On-site parking Flexible working hours Casual dress Hours: 10 per week Training Opportunities Phippen House has a Crisis Prevention Intervention trainer on staff to provide training for all new hires and refreshers every two years. Opportunity for additional training in areas such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing and managing behaviors Employees are paid for their time during training and all courses and materials are provided free of charge. Once every 3 years Phippen House will do CPR and First Aid at the home.
